About the event

When this writing is permeated by the wisdom of family constellations, it transcends personal narrative to open up to the collective, ancestral, and transgenerational fields. Constellation works as a privileged method of listening to the family unconscious, where images, patterns and repetitions emerge that the subject carries — often unconsciously — in their body, mind, destiny and difficulties in loving or allowing themselves to live fully.
The written word, when welcomed into the field of constellations, ceases to be merely psychodynamic and takes on a spiritual and archetypal dimension. What is written may emerge from the wounded child, the conscious adult, or the Self that observes and guides the life journey. At this depth, words become prayers, invocations, and bridges that connect the subject to the broader dimension of being.
You are, therefore, dear reader, faced with a highly complex therapeutic practice that acts on multiple levels:
In the body, where trauma is reflected in muscle tension, chronic pain, and psychosomatic symptoms.
In the psyche (mind), where pain is reflected in defensive patterns, compulsions, and internal conflicts.
Emotionally, where suffering dissolves when it is finally heard and validated.
Spiritually, where the soul can rediscover its place, “feel at home” and reconnect with the deeper meaning of existence.

About Joaquim

I recognise that I am the result of the union between a man and a woman on the splendid day of 12 December 1951, in Lourenço Marques. It has been 50 years since I became a transpersonal therapist, and for 46 years, I have been a university lecturer. Currently, I am a trainer, facilitator, and therapist in workshops and family constellation courses, travelling throughout Portugal, Poland, Malta, Brazil, and Norway. Who would have thought that my career would take me to so many places? It must be the magic of therapy, or perhaps people's constant curiosity about how I deal with life (in fact, it's just a matter of being prepared for the unexpected!). I have a few degrees that are not important for being a constellation therapist: I have a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology, a Master's in Mental Health Clinic, a Master's in Lusophone Space: Culture, Economy and Politics, and I even dared to do a Postgraduate in Community Mental Health.
