1. Traveling from Outside Europe

Fraueninsel
There are various accommodation options available on Fraueninsel, all of which you can find on this website: https://www.chiemsee-inseln.de/portfolio/ferienwohnungen/
We strongly recommend booking early: September is a very popular travel season, and the famous Bavarian Oktoberfest is also just around the corner.
Gstadt at Chiemsee
Gstadt is a larger town located directly on Lake Chiemsee, right by the ferry port for boats to Fraueninsel. The ferry crossing takes only 15 minutes, with boats departing every hour.
Gstadt offers a wide range of accommodation—from hotels and cozy, family-run guesthouses to holiday apartments. The same advice applies here as for Fraueninsel: September is a high-demand travel period, rooms fill up quickly and get more expensive week by week, so booking early is well worth it.
