I live in Victoria, Canada, and I work online and in person as a death doula, trainer and constellator. Through my organization, The Centre for Sacred Deathcare, I teach death doulas and others to meet death in more systemic ways. I use constellation principles to work with dying people and their families in the moment, rather than through representatives later. We use ritual gestures and healing sentences to allow the energy (love, grief, etc) to flow so that the system can adjust to the loss. I also facilitate Across the Veil Constellations, a modified version of a family constellation, which focuses just on the journey of death and loss. Across the Veil Constellations (which deal with upcoming deaths or those from the past) help the family system recalibrate as the dying/dead person takes their new place with the ancestors. They also help participants develop a deeply embodied, intuitive and somatic understanding of the spiritual and energetic dynamics of the dying process, which strengthens their capacity to support others through that experience.
