I am a physician and clinical psychiatrist. In addition to my medical knowledge, I developed a broad spectrum of therapeutic and counseling skills. I trained in Transactional Analysis with a focus on attachment therapy and negotiation (George Kohlrieser), Systemic Counseling and Therapy (Fritz B. Simon, Gunthard Weber), constellation work (Gunthard Weber, Stephan Hausner, among others) and Solution-focussed Short-term Therapy (Steve de Shazer).
From 1989-96 I worked as a psychiatrist at the Landesklinik Bonn.
My critical view of work conditions in large organizations, which drain energy I wanted for working with patients, led to a change of focus towards prevention: What can be done at an early stage before people become patients due to working conditions?
This was followed by 7 years as a consultant for Institut Dr. Mautsch (Cologne) in the areas of leadership training, management coaching and team development.
Today I accompany executives and teams in their development, among others since 2012 as Staff Councelor for the United Nations in Bonn.
The other area of my work is life coaching and counseling.
As an author, I write about methods for systemic development.
Ich bin Facharzt für Psychiatrie. Zusätzlich habe ich Fort- und Weiterbildungen in Transaktionsanalyse mit den Schwerpunkten Bindung und Verhandlung (George Kohlrieser), systemischer Beratung und Therapie (Fritz B. Simon, Gunthard Weber), Aufstellungsarbeit (u.a. Gunthard Weber, Stephan Hausner) und Lösungsorientierter Kurzzeit-Therapie (Steve de Shazer).
Von 1989-96 arbeitete ich als Facharzt für Psychiatrie in der Landesklinik Bonn.
Mein kritischer Blick auf institutionelle Rahmenbedingungen der Arbeit in großen Organisationen, die mir wenig Energie für die Arbeit an Patienten ließen, führten zu einem Fokus-Wechsel hin zu Prävention: Was kann man frühzeitig tun, ehe Menschen durch Arbeitsbedingungen zu Patienten werden?
Es folgten 7 Jahre als Berater des Institut Dr. Mautsch (Köln) in den Bereichen Training und Coaching von Führungskräften und Teamentwicklung für Vewaltungs- und Industriekunden.
Heute begleite ich Führungskräfte und Teams in ihrer Entwicklung, unter anderem seit 2012 als Staff Councelor die Vereinten Nationen am Standort Bonn.
Mein anders Arbeitsfeld ist Life Coaching und Beratung.
Als Autor schreibt er über Methoden für systemische Entwicklung.
